Who is David Peace?
David Peace has been bringing entertainment to venues throughout Ireland since 2005.
David’s love began with magic which started at an early age when he saw his father and his great grandfather perform small party tricks for him at family event. They blew his mind! David subsequently became obsessed with learning magic and he started receiving birthday and Christmas presents of magic books and sets. When David was just 15 he was lucky enough to become an apprentice for about a year to another magician. Thanks to his training David was quickly able to get over his childhood shyness and started performing.
At the beginning of his career David was performing for children at family fun days and corporate Christmas parties but he soon realized that his passion lay in performing for adults. After this David started performing at corporate events and weddings throughout Ireland where he would perform close-up at drinks receptions and at the banquet tables. David soon got the opportunity to start performing on stage which is now his true passion. Being able to perform at events varying between close-up and stage allows David to be constantly changing his act. If you book David more than once you will always see something new and even more mind blowing.
David has been lucky enough to perform for many companies and organisations including IBM, Eli Lilly and Apple. David has also happily donated his time to perform at fundraisers for the likes of Cork ARC Cancer Support House and Marymount Hospice. In 2014 David performed his first one man show in the Cork Granary Theatre – “Peace of Mind”. This had been a dream of his he had been planning and rewriting for many years. The near 2 hour show included magic, mentalism and escapology which resulted in a standing ovation and rave reviews. David has said that the reaction was truly humbling! Since then David has performed “Peace of Mind” in venues throughout Cork and welcomed other acts who he is a fan of from Ireland and abroad to perform as part of the show. As with all of David’s work he prides himself on the show never being the same show twice.
David has also performed on stage in venues such as City Limits Comedy Club, The CoCo Club, The Comedy Cavern and the Mind Reading Room. He has a huge passion for performing in and attending Comedy Clubs. David has always infused his performances with comedy where appropriate but when in a comedy club he can express a different side of his personality.
David Peace also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Systems from UCC graduating in 2012. In 2021 David qualified as a Hypnotherapist.
