Hi I’m David Peace and I am a Cork based Alternative Magician and Mind Reader/Mentalist!
I have been bringing my unique form of magic and mentalist (if I do say so myself) to venues throughout Ireland since 2005.
How did you pick that up because I deliberately went poker face on you! – PJ Coogan The Opinion Line Cork’s 96FM
My love of magic started at an early age when I saw my Dad and my great grandfather perform small party tricks for me. They blew my mind! I then became obsessed with learning magic and I started getting birthday and Christmas presents of magic sets and books on magic. When I was 15 I was lucky enough to become an apprentice for about a year to another magician. Thanks to his training I was quickly able to get over my shyness I had at the time and start performing.
At the beginning of my career I was performing for children at family fun days and corporate Christmas parties but I soon realised my passion lay in performing for adults. Once I realised this I started performing as a close up magician at wedding and corporate events and I then got the opportunity to start performing on stage. This is where I fell in love with mentalism! Being able to mix close up and stage events allows me to be constantly changing my act. *If you book me more than once you will always see something new and even more mind
I have been lucky enough to perform for many companies and organisations including UCC BIS Department, Eli Lilly and the Ballincollig Business Association; as well as numerous college balls. I have also donated my time to perform at fundraisers for the likes of Cork ARC Cancer Support House and Marymount Hospice. If you have a charity event coming up feel free to contact me and I will see what I can do!
David added a touch of magic at our recent fundraising lunch, making the day even more special for our guests. He enchanted them with his performance of close up magic and really added to the wonderful mood of our event. I would recommend David if you are looking to add that little bit of extra to your event or party.
